What is Movinhand?
Movinhand is a web-based platform aiming to connect mobile high-skilled job seekers with employers around the world.
Why was the name “Movinhand” chosen?
Because Movinhand is not just about getting you a job, it’s also about moving you to different regions and heping you explore the world. At the same time you will be giving employers a helping hand with your skills.
How do I send you my feedback?
We welcome feedback, comments and suggestions! It helps us improve both our services and your experience. So, just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’ve been logged out and can’t remember my password. How do I reset it?
- Make sure you have access to the email address on file with Movinhand.
- Click the Forgot Password reset link on the Log-In form and type your email address.
- Movinhand will send you an email to help reset your password. In case you cannot find the reset email, also check your spam, junk and/or trash folders. Beware that this email is time-sensitive and will only work for four (4) hours.
- Follow Movinhand’s email link to set a new password.
How do I remove / deactivate my account?
You can go to Settings and click on "Deactivate my account", it would be great if you could take a moment to write down why and email us at email@example.com. In any case, you will be missed.
I tried to sign my offer letter online but there was an error message. What should I do?
We will do our best so that this won’t happen. If for the slightest chance that actually happens, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will take care of it.
Is Movinhand available in my country?
Please check the list of countries that Movinhand is available. If your country is not included in the list, “Oh, sorry!” We are doing our best to get here, there and everywhere.
Who can view my profile? Will I be able to track who is viewing my profile?
Well, basically anyone can look at your profile. But, you can’t see who viewed your profile and no one can see if you’ve been viewing theirs. It’s a fair deal.
Why do I have to complete my profile before I apply for a job?
Even if you have not completed your profile, you will still be able to browse available job openings. But, in order to apply for a position, you will be asked to provide all required information.
How do I confirm my deal with the hotel?
No worries. We have thought of that already. You will confirm your deal by signing an online offer letter beforehand.
Can I get a referral from an employer who hasn’t signed up to the platform?
Yes, of course you can. This is the idea. So, when you use our referral system, you are basically sending a link to your previous employer to comment on your specific skills/abilities.
Can the employers see the job postings of other hotels?
Yes, once more. We try to be as open and transparent as possible. Besides, we believe employers can learn a lot by looking at each other’s job postings.
Should I use the video interview?
That’s why we put it there in the first place! Our statistics show that candidates who add a video interview in their profiles are 50% more likely to get a job.
Is the moving simulator accurate?
Our moving simulator is a combination of credible third-party tools that can provide you with information about your initial travel cost (e.g. plane tickets). And yes, there’s no need to worry because it is accurate.
Do I need a visa to travel abroad?
It depends on your job destination. Feel free to ask for visa information through our chat feature.
What languages should I speak to get accepted for a job?
It goes without saying that you should speak English. And obviously you do. It also would be better if you could speak the language of your next job destination, but then again sometimes it’s optional.
Is there a way to search for jobs by hotel?
Not yet. But, we are already working on our platform’s updated version that will let you follow specific hotels in order to be notified of their latest job openings.
How does the platform work?
It’s very simple, really. All you need to do is:
- Create your personal profile.
- Browse job opportunities (by skills or by country) and apply online.
- Chat and plan a video interview with your potential employer.
- Sign an offer letter online.
- Plan your relocation (tickets & house rental, visa if necessary) directly through our platform.
I’ve applied to my first job… now what?
First of all keep your cool. If your potential employer is interested in you, he/she will contact you through online chat. Fingers Crossed!
How do I withdraw my application?
You can delete your application anytime from your Pending Application tab inside your Dashboard.
How does Movinhand make money?
Movinhand’s core service is free for employees.
Based on what do I see my recommended employees?
Based on the requirements of your job description. Movinhand is built upon advanced search algorithms. In simple words, algorithms that “understand” your needs and bring you tailored suggestions, which will eventually become more precise, the more you make use of the platform.
How can I “Invite” an employee and what does it mean exactly?
You can press the “Lead Employee” into the employee’s profile, or the hand next to his picture at the recommended employees tab. It means that you consider him or her suitable for the job.
What will you offer to make hiring faster and better?
Two things make us stand out from the rest. First of all we focus only on high-quality candidates and secondly, but equally importantly, we assist candidates’ relocation process through various features of our platform.
What is the purpose of the “People” Tab?
You can see all the employees you have chosen as your leads.
Is there a maximum number of assignments I can post at once?
No, there’s no limit. You can post as many as you wish.
Can I post assignments for many locations from one account?
Yes, of course. When you create an assignment you will be prompted to select the job’s location/address. You can either select a previously used address or create a new one.
Can I avoid posting wage/compensation on my assignment listing?
We do prefer to include compensation as part of the assignment listing and we have good reasons for that. The idea is to create an open, transparent job matching experience for both employers and employees. A great number of employees will be applying to your assignments from around the world and we need to provide them with incentives and trust, to help them make this big life decision; the decision to move to another part of the world. That said, if you have an important reason not to include compensation as part of the assignment, you can input 0 in the relevant field and we will show a "To Be Discussed" indicator in the job listing.
How do I add a number of similar assignments to list?
We give you the option to save a template. Start the process of listing a new assignment and, at the end, you will have the option to save it as a template. This template will always be available for you when you start to build future listings.

We are building a curated community of high-quality mobile job seekers. Therefore, great talent can come from anywhere in the world.
Could you give me some tips for attracting the best available candidates?
Your job posting has to be as tempting as possible. And you can achieve that through detailed job descriptions, job relocation benefits, enticing wages, photos of company’s location and facilities as well as brief overviews of country’s culture, land and people. Get inspired and get typing.
